Last Saturday, I watched a full size chevy 4x4 drive on at the old church and went out to the middle of the bay and fished there. The ice is about 14 in. thick out in front of perfect view.

We saw that truck out there last Saturday, if ANYTHING happens to your vehicle while you are out on ice, I believe your insurance is VOID.

That's what I've been told.

So there is plenty of ice over that way.

I heard same thing superdad, your Ins will NOT cover you if you drive out onto a lake,if it sinks I guess you better hope you get out safely and then report it stolen later on :)

I was out yesterday mid morning. 12 - 14 inches of ice to report. Lots of atvs and a few small cars out in the area too.

As for insurance companys not covering you if you break through the ice. I think if you have a 4x4 classed as offroad. They have to cover you?

I had to sign a clause for my avt. no coverage if it sinks :?

This is an easy question to answer..simply call your Insurance agent and inquire..The comprehensive portion of most policies covers a broad range of possible mishaps..Don't be discouraged by their first answer..keep digging at them...Gary

Sorry guys. Your vehicle is not meant to be driven on water, therefore, your vehicle is not covered if it goes through the ice. Make sure it's safe before you drive out there.

As for ATVs. Most companies have a clause excluding that type of loss.

Again, think twice before you take it out there.
