A few friends and I were at the BOQ this past week and had a great time, we caught over 100 fish with most of them ranging in the 4-8# class. We did manage to get a couple of wall hangers one at 14.2# and one at13.2#. We also caught 8 fish between 9-11.5#. We fished all areas of the bay from the bay bridge to south of Deseronto. I'd like to thank a few friends from the area that helped us out, that being Ron from Skevy's and Paul and Jeff from the Quinte Ice Fishing Team. I would strongly reccomend these people for any first timers to the bay, they really have a handle on where the fish are and can put you on them. If you need bait, licenses, or just general info about the bay such as ice conditions or where the landings are or where the bite might be on just stop at Skevy's bait shop and Ron will be more than happy to help you out. I look forward to getting back there next year for some more hard water action. The BOQ is a great fishery and the people in the area were some of the friendliest people I have ever met. Thats a great tribute to our neighbors to the north. Thanks again. Steve from Wisconsin

To littlebone,
Thanks ever so much for the kind words and I would just like to say it's a pleasure having such knowledgeable fisherman up here, the kind who at times make you change the outlook on different types of baits and methods used to catch these world class eyes. It' these type of Americans that come here and spend there hard earned $$$ and treat the locals like they are really someone that makes us here feel like we really matter. Anytime you guys want any info don't hesitate to call and to your buddy Wags wish you had of made the trip my friend, missed seeing you!!!!! To all who reads this these Americans are some of the greatest I've met and thanks from the Quinte Ice Fishing Team!!!!!!!!!!

Sheldon, my brother and I were thinking about trying to get there next fall to try our luck on the open water. We'll keep in touch and have a good time fishing this spring and summer. Steve
