Quinte Fishing

Well this was my first year ice fishing, and now like a heroin addict I'm hooked. The only problem is that with walleye out of season I can't think of how to satisfy the hunger. I've read in the past that some of you have caught white fish, and was curious as to if they are in season still, and how would one catch them? And more importantly is it possible to catch them without bothering the walleye? If anyone has any suggestions as to what is still in season in the deseronto area, with some tips on how to catch them I'd greatly appreciate it. Too many months before the water opens.

try jigging higher up in the water collum. stay off the bottom and see what happens. you could be into a whole lotta nothing, but also a good chance at white fish and croppie if yer in 15 foot of water jig down 6 0r 8 foot,,,,

Don't forget about pike!!

You could also drive yourself a few hours north and find yourself in the prime walleye water, or even lakers!!
