I have been fishing up by Frost Road just west of Belleville for the last two weeks but that school of walleyes have moved on.There is still a few walleyes hanging around the edge of the channel moving back and forth out of the current .But the walleyes that I located with the vex this morning and were suspended in 24 feet of water and were only 17 feet down and they were on the bite. They were hitting on a crippled herring in the 1/2 oz size in silver with a slow jig .You see Batman there is a pattern to Quinte walleye and yes smallmouth it has taken me over 18 years to learn that pattern and I'm not giving it up thank you .If you like batman come up for a fish in the next few days I will fish with you .Thank you .

Hardwaterwalleye,

Now that is better. A pattern that could be used anywhere
on Quinte. I will be fishing near the Deseronto bridge this
Friday afternoon. I will try to find the transition from the 10
to 25 foot levels in this area. The edge of the channel. I will
be watching the Vex for the suspended fish. I have been trying
you tip by drawing fish from the bottom and continue bringing
them up until they bite. I suspect the suspend fish you speak
of like a lure above them slightly to entice them.

Do you keep cutting holes and checking with the vex until you
see fish, or do you find a paticular depth or structure and then
wait?

I'll give a report Saturday morning. I hope it's a good one.-

BATMAN

Hey Hardwater-I'm a newly arrived fisherman(from northwestern Ontario) and have not met any guys at work who like to fish-as an added bonus most of my stuff is still back there- but my brother tell me he is really enjoying my Strikemaster and Clam. I'm looking for someone to fish with and if you are up to it, I'd like to get out with you.
Let me know if you are interested.I'm just looking for someone to wet a line with and I'm not looking to steal your pattern.
