Thanx to Bluedog for showing me this video..... Brazil is my most want to fish destination in the world by far just because of the Amazon alone!

That's awesome!!! Who figured that out?

Thanks for posting that. I just emailed it to a bunch of friends.

I was in Brazil last November for three weeks and wasn't able to fish. What a bummer. We went to the coast for a few days and it was beautiful!!! I really wanted to fish, but I was with a group and was the minority so I just tagged along. I will go back though to fish. It's one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

That was thoroughly enjoyable. It was interesting to see them fish, what appears to be a floating bog of sorts. I would really enjoy trying that.

There was a place located north of Napanee at one point, that had a large natural canopy with what could be described as a flaoting bog. It is now apparently logged out, but did at one time have brook trout, that people used to poach, by fishing a series of holes in the canopy that had clear water with lots of brush to get tangled in. They were apparently a very pretty fish. Just a note.

Thanks again to the gentleman that posted that. It was good to see a unique location and method.

Regards
Donald Stokes

I've looked at this video a few different times.

Note that when the gentlemen land their boat, it appears to be a river, with a bouncy, soft step when they first land. The whole place looks like an extremely large and extra thick matt of weeds. I also noted that it looked like one line had to be placed down with a pole, in order to get through what I imagine was a bulky weed mass.

I think I could be close to coaxed, to want to leave more northerly climates all for the sake of trying this out.

Regards
Donald Stokes

Yup, that's quite a video. Wonder what kind of fish they are ? I followed a whole bunch of fishing video links on that page. Some were good, some stupid. You wanna see some serious ice ? Check out the one on Nunavut fishing. That auger must have half a dozen extensions on it. Over 10 feet of ice. I also thought the bikini fishing video was quite funny. Wish I could have been there when it was shot. Lol.
