My guess is about 5 lbs.

I've never tried to quantify the reg like that. Interesting. I'm assuming you have. Looking forward to an answer.

I really dont think you can use a weight to leingth ratio and be accurate.... a long slender male over a short fat hen full off eggs..... one with 3 pounds of chad in it or one who is hungry, and ready to feed again..... seems to be too many factors involved . just my oppinion... grizz

For sure there would be some fluctuation, but I don't think it would be more then 1lb either way on a 28" fish.

You could play with the formula using length as a constant and girth as the virable to find how much the weight would fluctuate. Would be fun to see.

I was just curious what you would have to say and or thought 5 pounds seems about right but I haven't seen enough fish this winter to make a good judgement LOL

Razorback,

Great weight calculator! Thanks for sharing. Without inputting the girth they are saying about 5.65 lbs. I wish they would show the figure used as girth, then I could play with it to see the amount of variation.

I've never taken the girth of a 25" fish. Anyone know a girth?
