23 days including today till the Walleye and Pike season opener. Can't believe that I still don't have the boat out due to ice. Well it is up to mother nature to crank up the heat and get this ice melted.

Can't wait.

Mike

Mike,
I was just looking at the long range forecast for here next week. Mostlt 10-12 degrees with it doing up to 19 by thursday. So it looks like mother nature is going to crank it up.

By this time past years the eyes are up the river thick but obviously not this year. There is still a heck of alot of ice out there.

I had a buddy who lives in Trenton tell me he stopped by the outlet river
in Consecon over the weekend. Usually this time of the year the pickeral
are in there thick, this year not a one. I suppose this means a late spawn.
Man 23 days, I can't wait. My wife says I might as well sleep with my tackle box, it's on the kitchen table every noght.
