Was out today to retrieve the boat and get it to the shop for a tuneup.

Drove around the River Road from Napanee to Bayview Resort, here's what I saw:

The water is open from the Desronto Bridge around Forresters IS. Mohawk Bay is ice covered, the mouth of the Napanee River is open.

Hayward Long Reach is ice free from Forrester Is, to Shermans Pt, couldn't see much beyond Shermans- suspect it's open all the way to ferry.

Hay Bay is ice covered from Shermans to Ram Is. the north channel at Ram Is is wide open with a TON of geese and ducks enjoying the water. The open water ring arpound Ram Is continues past the Grass Is over to the south shore Gravel Pit shore.

The ice cover resumes from the Grass Is.all the way east to McCabe Bay, then it opens up again all the way to Pickeral Park. Can't say what the east end of the Bay looks like as we cut over the Fitchett Rod back to Napanee.

The water level is UP - not much but up. From our docking position the water is approx 2.25 feet below normal. It would have risen 6 to 9 inches in the last couple of weeks, a long way to go.

I'll be back ay Hay Bay next weekend and report what I see.
