Quinte Fishing

I am driving from Pittsburgh to Big island with my father from Pittsburgh in August. We used to fish Grape and Goose Island for Northern Pikes and near there for walleye 10 years ago and did really well. We only have a 14 foot - 15 horsepoewer boat. Are pike, walley and bass still there or there to many weeds and is it to shallow to fish? Can we drive somewhere else in the small boat say within 5 miles of Big island to fish, if that is the case where?? How about Hay Bay??
