Well, I HAVE TO SAY I AM SICK TO MY STOMACH!
And A lot of people are !$%ed right off!
The Slaughter has begun. Yesterday, at the mouth of the canal in Trenton, I again observed HUNDREDS of fresh pickerel spawn trails & blood on shoreline, garbage, Human waste, scout after scout after scout, people fishing, beer cans/bottles, damn.....
Called Enforcement officer & had to leave message. Message being "it would be advisable if you made it here tonight, as after this warm day.., they will be in here tonight ravishing our walleye resource only worse! Met gentleman from pickerel advisory council at this particular site twice yesterday.(he took some pictures as well). Today, after seeing the walleye movement as of yesterday, I decided to go to the stairs at lock #1. There I found, with disgust
the stairs majorily covered with spawn."MAJORILY!" Proof that HUNDREDS of walleye have been transported out of this location as well, JUST OVERNIGHT!
Made another phonecall to MNR(message again). Made phone call to gentleman from advisory council and he was quick to show up again. Then met up with him back at the mouth of the canal. After leaving canal, I decided to go to #1 damn parking lot by the old G.E. plant. It was there, upon entering I decided to check the 1st garbage can. In It was a bag of perch approx 5doz. measuring 4-6"out of which 6 were cleaned.(Photos Taken). It was then I decided to drive in through clearway to see what else was around. Two bags found. 1st bag -over a dozen pickerel fillets, "FILLETS",no carcasses. (Photos Taken)
"just FILLETS! "You know, the kind with the meat still on?? %!@$^
2ND bag- BUCK HEAD!-"ANTLERS REMOVED"(Photos Taken). Made another phone call to MNR (message again), Made another phone call to gentleman from advisory council, Said he would be up.This is just from yesterday & Today.(19/20). AT THIS "FISH SANCTUARY!"
I talked to A LOT OF PEOPLE, and all of their responses were the same....
SICK & DISGUSTED,OUTRAGED, & mad as HELL!
:!:

yesterday we went to the falls to show our young daughter the spawning fish and to our surprise and discuss we saw about six natives behind gibbards store fishing with rod and reels. They were pulling in the fish one after another and putting them in buckets.how can any rational person allow this to go on inside a no fishing area out of season, and no limmits.you would think that the person making this decision was the prime minister john c.those of us that want to preserve this fishery find this very frustrating to say the least.they people i saw were not in need of food,or at least if they were they could of sold one of their new trucks and bought some.this kind of stuff has to be stopped once and for all time sake if we are ever going to have a serious restoration plan for our local waters.i would say more but i'm afraid im talking to the converted and the solution to each one of us is simple..whats wrong with the rest of these selfish armpits,

Anyone remember last years Napanee Derby winner, happened to get a12 lber on Sat and took it to the wrong weigh station.

Then appears on Sunday with an identical fish and WINS the tournament.

It smelled fishy then and with the words on the previous post about saving a big one for someones' derby - makes you wonder

Always thought there should have been a witness, because from the description of where he said he caught the two fish - it wasn't at Hay Bay South .

Yes the taking of spawning fish isn't a good thing, BUT a rod and reel beats the hell out of Spear. Fish have a chance to get off the hook (I've seen it at Springside Park) they have NO chance with a spear.
