The fish hatchery in Napanee, is apparently having an open house this Sunday (May 4) from 1:00-3:00 PM. This can be confirmed in the Napanee Beaver. Might I suggest to take a visit and see some proactive, pro community work!

Also.....I have had repeated reports about rainbow trout at the falls in Springside Park/Napanee. This is now confirmed, as a fact. Also....please note that there appears for all intensive purposes to at least be a small chance of spawning success at this location, given the spring water oozing out through the side wall, and the "what appears to be" suitable upwelling areas. Please note, that regardless of what one may be told that this has been unsuitable, it has not been studyed in any which way, shape or form, be it for spawning or what else may live there. Most of the rainbow observed appear to be roughly 2 yr. olds. Very nice to see....no serious numbers but nice none the less.

Regards
Don Stokes
