Had a great day fishing on Tuesday with Maverick, Jeff C and Jeff's Dad. I think everyone, including myself set a PB.

We launched out of Picton at 7:30am and headed to water that had been holding fish. No other boats around when we setup which was a nice change from November. :D :D It wasn't long after setting up when a rod fired and not long after that when another one fired. Thought it was going to be a good day and sure enough it was. Stayed in a fairly tight area and the fish stayed until we left at 1:30.

As I always post on here I rarely take my camera, but this time I made a point as with the weather coming in I thought it might be my last outing of the year and I wanted a few pics for marketing this winter. WOW!!! Did we ever get some pics. Best part is I got every fish on video. Pretty shaky filming by got it all on tape. I'm going to edit it and post that on here as well once it is done.

All in all had lines in the water for about 5 hours and finished 17 for 18. Including 3 double headers.

Here is the kicker. I forgot my scale         . But we took the length and girth of the biggest fish that was released. The second biggest fish Maverick kept as a wall hanger as I thought it had to go over 14lbs and that was his mark to put one on the wall. Anyway, when Maverick got home he weighted the one he kept and it went 14 lbs 15 oz. We then used the length and girth to estimate the big fish weight.

Biggest fish was 15 lbs 7 oz (using length and girth calculator) with a length of 33.75" and a girth of 22.5" (I will confirm that with maverick)

Second biggest was 14 lbs 15 oz. wieghed. with a length of 32.5" and a girth of 21".

Had a few more over 13lbs and most were over 10lbs.

Thanks to Jeff C for the tip on the spot, and thanks to Maverick for boating a 15lb 7oz fish!! Great outing to put the boat away on.

Jeff get them pics up.

Scott

Scott, again thanks for sharing such a great morning with us! Getting out with friends is always fun, but having it all come together with so many quality fish is surely the icing on the cake. A couple of those fish from today will be ones that we will talk about for many years. Thanks again!

Enjoy the eye candy...

Jeff

Good job buddy, we stayed on them as well. I should have a report and pics up by tonight. We have a couple fish that are like your big ones. :D We had one really long fish. It was good to talk to you out there. Maybe we can get one last troll in together this year? Just awesome.

Landshark,

I was giggling like a school girl with a crush. LOL   . It was unbelievable steady fish on with every one being a tank.

I feel bad because Maverick wanted an eater and nothing really came. One of the last fish of the day looked smaller then the rest we had been boating and so I said you might as well keep it, its one of the smaller ones. He goes home and it tipped the scaled at 13lbs 5 oz. 8O 8O 8O

He called me to tell me and I said keep it, I'll put it on the wall of our store with the 12 lb 8 oz fish from the JB's tourney we couldn't revive. A 13 lb fish shouldn't be eaten it deserves better then that. I felt really bad for taking 2 big fish, but atleast it will be in our store next year.

I plan to get both done in a glass box chasing some perch. I think I'm going to mount it right into the office/store countertop so you can see it just as you walk in. Should be cool and what such magnificent fish deserve.

Scott

You guys kill me. I was happy to end the season last weekend with a couple of big ones and put my boat away. Now I see how well you guys did yesterday and all those great photos, I can't say its over yet, I gotta get out one more time. Winds supposed to calm some early next week, should still be free of ice, I gotta go again.

Great pictures, it is the 15+ that won't let me park the boat.

BigMac,

I felt bad especially after the tough day we had when you were out with us, but the 8lber you got yesterday is worth more then all the fish in BOQ put together. Our day shouldn't hold a candle to yours.

Congrats on the new one and best wishes to you and your family.

Scott
