To my knowledge there are none. I know there are houseboat rentals all over the thousand islands, but none on Quinte.

I have actually looked into it here on West Lake simply because there seems to be no one in the area that does it, but hasn't materialized yet.

Let me know if you find something, I would be interested to know if it is out there.

Try contacting:

Thanks for the come back Scott. I'll check into seeing if they would tow one down from the 1000 isl....If it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg! If you set one up, I'll book it now for the 2011 opener!

The reason behind the idea.... Head out with 3-4 buddies Anchor at a good spot, fishing 24/7 - Beer would be ok to have while fishing... Fish in the pan about 3 min after being caught.....It would be a great way to spend 3-4 days for the opener!

There used to be a fellow that rented out a houseboat, but alas it was many years ago.

The biggest places I have seen in Canada are Lake of the Woods in Kenora, Ontario and Sicamous BC on the Shuswap. There are other places but these are the two biggest that I have seen.

If I'm not mistaken and you're open for other areas....the marina in Chaffey's Locks rents / rented out large pontoon boats and others too.

I did a Mercury course with him (thanks for the info. Dan) and when I was there, he had mentioned this but I don't see it on his web site.

Cheers
