Hey guys,

The contests is heating up, we have MANY entries so far, with Mathew Stein leading with a wopping 32 length X 22 Girth = 54pts. I have doubt that fish can be beat...

There a prizes for the top 5 Walleye and also lots of draw prizes just for entering, so submit those entries as soon as you can.

Check our site for updates.

Cheers, Hodgey...

I have a question. Last week we registered a 14lb walleye in your contest. I don't see it among the contest pictures. What's up?

Hi JP,

That is a great fish!! However, whatever happened, we didn't get it.

If you could, pls submit it again. If not, just email me the details and the pic to Gary@G2Angling.com

Cheers, Hodgey....

Thanks. I will resubmit the entry tonight.

What was the weight of the fish with a 22" girth?

Not sure, only length and girth data has been shared.

Cheers, Hodgey...

The fish with the 22" girth, based on the formula that fish would weigh around 19 pounds. Thats girth squared X length divided by 800. Not perfect but usually within a pound. (22x22x32/800=19.36) Length of 32 sounds right, but I caught a 14 pounder last year with a 19" girth (30.5 long) and it was a football shape.

there is a fish calculator on the walleye central site which i have found in the past to be very accurate. a fish with 32 length and 22 girth would weigh aroun 15 pounds 3 ounces.

that sounds a little more accurate...

this fish (i caught last year through the ice) was the same size (32 inch length X 22 inch girth)... i didn't get a weight on her, but figured it to be somewhere in the 15+ lb range.

Lookin forward to seeing the fish entered in the contest though!!!

Well, there are only a few weeks left in the G2Angling Walleye Contest...Even though there is ice forming on most parts of the Bay, there are still a few open areas East of the ferry. Let's see if there are some "Die Hards" that are ready to brave the elements and try to beat Maverick's (Joe Pickstock) Monster Walleye of 33.25 Length X 22 Girth for 55.25 pts. (Don't forget, always play it safe out there).

I know there are a few Crazy Canucks that have braved the elements before; Steve-Hamilton (loves the cold and ice in his boat). "Letsgofishin" (Corey & John) and always willing to grow icicles on their rods this time of year.

Here's the link to Maverick's Monster... http://g2angling.com/en/photo-and-video ... album&id=7

Cheers, Hodgey...

If anyone is still going out and needs a partner I'd be happy to join. 2 consecutive days of trolling and I'd be there. ;). Anydays
