Jimbo, appreciate the report and congrats on the prize for your crew. We were actually in the Kiwanis Derby headquarters (also weigh-in) in Trenton when your big fish was called in. What a coincidence. There was a good number of 10llb. plus fish weighed in between 12:30am - 2:30am, and I think the largest fish at that time (12.82lbs.) was a Trent fish. The fishing really slowed down after about 4am though when that Northeast wind picked up. From 6:30am - 8:00am, only saw one net over the side and there were lots of boats. Just a note, around 10pm when I was waiting for my fishing partners to show up, saw a walleye about 14 - 15lbs. roll right in front of me whilst standing on the docks on the west side of the river below Hwy 2. That's one huge walleye still out there swimming.
Looks like they'll be lots of fish around for the next couple weeks.
Tight lines all.
