Wondering what the ice conditions are like in Hay Bay, inside (East) of Sherman's / Thompson's?
Thanks

Location: North Shore Hay Bay
The fisher people have returned in numbers today. From the north shore I can see 2 ATV's, about 10 people, 5 tents, on the north shore east, of Perfect View. Planning to fish this aft myself. Have not been on the ice today. Will not take my ATV until I have drilled some holes. Beware of pressure cracks. The ice was "noisy" this morning. Have not been out to Sherman's launch since my last post re that. There have been a few cold nights for ice making. No snow on the ice, so bring cleats.

Thanks for the update "bayboy".
Sounds encouraging, and our group will definitely follow your suggestion of punching a few holes before bringing out the machines.
