Hi Guy's,

I'm bringing my dad down for this weekend at Merland Park. At 78 years young he still loves to catch Pike and by the sounds of some of the reports the Pike fishing is good.

I've never fished Pike down there so I was wondering where some good spots where?

I know the area faily good but was looking for some detailed Pike areas.

Hopefully I'll get some time to Walleye fish too!

Thanks,

Ken

Head over to Bass Cove or Perch Cove which is due east of Merland.Around Glenn Island has also been good and you have a good chance of hitting some walleye also, it depends when you are fishing. I was out last Saturday and got 4 casting and trolling with a Blue/ Silver Bomber that seems to be lure of choice, my partner was using a big J 4 Rapala in 3 diffferent colours and got nothing until he switched to a Blue/ Silver colour Rapala and then got 2 also. All the fish were between 4 and 8 pounds, lots of fun as they hit hard and fought hard.
Have fun on Quinte and if you are not going to eat it put it back
