Another great weekend at Hay Bay. Fishing Thompson's Cove Saturday between 2 - 5 pm had 6 eyes. 2 - 21", 3 - 18", 1 - 16". The wife lost one that looked to be over the slot but she lost it at the boat....line snapped right at the split shots. 7 - 9:30 PM went fishing with a couple of the other campers as the wife was too tired and I had 3 more eyes 1 - 17", 1 - 20", 1 - 21" and 1 - 7 lb sheephead and 1 - 3 pound sheephead (first ones of the season...was wondering where they went). The other two guys had 7 fish. Saw about 15 boats in the evening on Saturday and everyone looked like they were landing fish, including one boat that was trolling so fast we thought he was trolling for Barracuda....we saw him land a large mouth. In the evening we were finding the fish hitting a bit short....a LOT of hits. Probably should've added a stinger hook. The Uzick in fluorescent orange was king again. I've been using the same Uzick for the last three weeks and is the hook ever getting bent from all the fish....I've had to straighten it a few times already. Superdad, I think you'll have to show me how to replace the hook!

Sunday, only went out for a couple of hours (it's Fathers Day ya' know). Hit Thompson's and the whitecaps were too much (there were two other brave souls out), could only take two passes before giving up. No fish. Hit the Church, same problem. Called it a weekend.

Can't wait for next weekend. Tight lines all.

Ken
