Lots of fish still hanging around,

I took my boat out this afternoon to make sure all is well before the big Derby and thought while out was on the water I might as well see if I can locate ay fish by sight or fish finder. I marked and saw lots of huge walleye in the Mouth of the river right up to the train bridge and by the south shore near Cow Island etc....

The Walleyes in the center of the water column running between the Norris Whitney Bridge and Pete’s Point were marked at approximately 8 to 10 feet of water in about the 17th foot depth. I just throw that out there for those that are going to troll. (approx 1:00pm in the bright sun)

Be careful out there……..I saw a huge tree sticking out of the water just east of Meyers Pier approximately 800m off shore, lots of dead heads and lots shallow spots everywhere.

Good luck to all and be safe….

Thanks for that info Pat. The dead heads are all over it sounds. I bet you could almost walk accross the river with the water levels being so low.

FYI, I just returned from another trip out west, the water levels are also extreamly low all accross Canada in all the lakes and rivers. Looks like it's going to be a very dry summer. :(
