The Snarf picked up Mac 'n myself at the Casa da Mux on Friday a.m. for the uneventful drive to Quinte. Picked up DeProp on the way, and we stayed at Pickerel Park again this year (14 years running) and upon arrival, immediately began to deplete the brown bottle cache.

Toured over to 'Ol Dan Elliott's casa (to deliver pre-ordered MuxUrine), hung around for 5-6 replenishment units and off to bed for Saturday a.m. festivities.

Spent Saturday a.m. in the Napanee river (after having tried up near Foster's). The boat total for walleyes stood at 11 (Snarf took 4). Most of the walleyes caught were on jigs and worm, popping them off the bottom. Along with the walleye were enough drum to make Neil Peart drool, a catfish that weighed in at 12lbs plus (taken on a chartreuse worm harness) and enough perch to choke a cat. Hot as hell on Saturday into the early afternoon. We bailed when we got hungry for the run from the Napanee river back to Pickerel Park.

We just made it in, ate and had a beer or two when the rain set in. Didn't last long, so out again by 3pm, only a couple in Hay Bay. Saturday night headed over to drink some pops with my 'Ol Dan Elliott, saw IceMan in his black underwear posing on the bed and have since stopped drinking.

Sunday a.m., headed for the river again, a couple more. Tried here and there, everywhere. Bite died off after the rain on Saturday afternoon. Left the water Sunday at 1pm for the run back to Pickerel Park and the truck run back up to Newmarket.

Lotsa cops, saw a couple guys get busted for bottles (you can hear the "clinking" clear across the lake). We had everything to be legal and I swear Snarfy wanted to get pulled over.....Hell.....he trolled after the cop boat, following it almost all over Hay Bay. He was pissed at not getting pulled over.

I think the total was 16 walleye for the weekend, biggest being under 3lbs. Decent weather, minimal hangovers, no injuries, boat ran great, no one was raped or beaten.....so, all in all a good weekend.

We'll be back up for the Fall Get Together, wherever it may be (as long as no idiot decides to have it in October like some bass-loving' puss-puss).
