Quinte Fishing

I have never been to Weslemkoon Lake and am hoping to get over there for a couple of days fishing in late July/early August. If anyone has any hints for success on the lake (or even a spot or two), I'd sure appreciate it. I'm used to fishing the trilakes, not over that way.

I've heard there are good largemouth and smallmouth in Weslemkoon but don't know anything else about the lake.

lake trout also! one oside of the lake is shallow the other is deep. alot of islands. great bass fishing. bring gps an keep your motor unnlocked, there are tons of unmarked hazards in the one end of the lake.

last time I was there I noticed a lot of those floating cat tail island.

If you find them you will get some big 1's. (Otter lake) The smallies will be right there with the buckets and don't spend alot of time flipp'n all the floating weed mats. Hit the rock pts.
