The weights were down the first day alot of small weights brought in including myself. The second day was a little better the bit started to pick back up. O think the weather had the fish all screwed up or i just couldnt catch them probalay I couldnt catch them . The bite should get better this week and comming if the weather stays stable. I think the winning weight was 38 pounds.

any big fish get caught?

i'm constantly watching the "big fish" weights at the QFS, and I have found they have been going down year after year...

i would HAVE to think a 6lbs'er was caught? (largie - as i understand smallies are not allowed at the opener tournie)

with a field of 60+ boats (guessing) i can't believe bigger bass don't get caught...

i guess the lake ontario smallies (next tournie i guess?) will bring in the bigger weights...

I always got down on myself cause i never came close to catching a five lbs largie in quinte...but then i look at these results and begin to understand why....my biggest was 4lbs 10 ounces.

the largies in quinte sure are getting their fair share of pressure....

sure brings out the best in the fisherman though!
