Quinte Fishing

The fishing according to some has been getting better, so my Dad and I headed out on Tuesday to give it whirl, we trolled for an hour in some deeper water around the Red Marker at Shermans, but couldn't draw a strike. Headed across the shoal and hit a fish on the first pass, a nice 19" eye. They're here, said I and he and I trolled for the next couple hours back and forth and around and decided to leave when we saw the storm coming from Picton / Cement Plant.

Passed Bayboy at Kingscourt and said hi, he had one and we told him we had hit 13 in two hours, ran to the dock and covered the boat and got a few raindrops. Apparently, the storm passed Bayview but whacked the Perfect Vue area HARD........

A good couple hours.

Wednesday brought the reunion of the Three Amigos for some pre-derby fishing, We headed out at 0800 and found several areas that had some nice fish. We fished until 1300 when the winds picked up and it was tough trolling. The count for the was was 16 walleyes / one pike and several bluegills. We were extremely pleased with our outing and look forward to a continuing bite for the derbys in the weeks to come.
