Great day on the water with Chris McDonald an his father-in-law Hugh from Thunder Bay…. Clearly walleye (Pickerel to the Northerners) grow much bigger down here in the Bay, because Hugh was really impressed with the size of fish, I guess size does matter…

We specifically targeted bigger walleye, so our focus was much deeper weedlines adjacent to really deep water…. It took a while to locate these fish, but when we did… it was great action! Our summer crank-bait pattern is still what’s taking these fish.

The crank-bait bite will only last for another month, so give us a call if you want to learn the fundamentals of this pattern and have a great time catching big walleye.

Enjoy the pics, more pics at http://www.G2Angling.com

Cheers, G2Angling…

We had a great time fishing with you Hodgey, everyone’s previous posts are indeed accurate saying that you’re a class act for sure.
I guess you could say that I got tired of just catching the odd fish here and there on the Bay and I am glad that I finally admitted to myself that I needed to change some old fishing habits and introduce some new techniques. Thanks for getting me up to speed, you certainly know your stuff, I wish I had done it a few years ago. GAME ON now!!!

Cheers,
MAC
