Although not up to the fall Quinte standard I did catch these 10 minutes from home. I was fishing by myself and limited out in a couple hours, fishing on the river near Alexandria Bay. Largest was 29" and pushing 9 lbs.

I hear you bluedog. I was born in the hostipal that sits on the banks of the St. Lawrence in Alexandria Bay. Not more than 100-200 yards I would guess from where these were caught? Lived there for 25 years. Mr Legg was my biology teacher. I also had Mr. Walleye in elementary school. Then I moved from heaven to the 50+ 90 degree days we have had here in the Philly area (this summer). Been here for 14 years now. I still wonder where all the walleye water is down here. In my humble opinion the St. Lawrence is one of the most beautiful places on earth plus the fishing isn't bad either. Mr Legg I will be up the first two week-ends in October to hunt ducks. If you are still in to the walleyes and are looking for a boat partner I would love to join you.
