I might sell the ATV this year and purchase a 8x8 Argo? I dont use the ATV for much else other then ice travel. Im thinking an Argo with tracks and a full cover would be great. I can haul more gear and people. Best of all the argo floats in it goes through the ice.

My biggest concern is the weight and size of an 8x8 compared to my ATV. Anyone else use an argo for ice travel?

If it was me. id build a slay for the ATV , and stud the tires. better yet get a second set of tires and stud them.......... ive seen argos out there many times, and im less than impressed............ even less impressed with an argo with tracks, you will get nasty looks for sure because they make such a racket, you can hear them 3 miles off feel the ice rumble under your feet from the tracks and unless there is a foot of snow i see no advantages to tracks over tires , thats just my 3 cents worth on an argo. I wish someone would make an argo chip truck lol then i wouldnt mind all the noise on the ice

HAHA Grizzly ive been jokin for years that someone should operate a mobile bbq on the ice. Imagine some spicy sausages or ballpark franks with some fried onions when you been on the ice since 5am. Maybe have a portable tank with minnows in it...
I dont know the laws but i would think there is money on the table to be had...

It broke through thin ice by the filtration plant in Trenton. When trying to climb back on the ice it took on water over the back end and sunk.

Check out what you have to fork out for insurance first, you don't want any surprises.

From what I understand there is no insurance for the wilcraft. The guy that owned one on Simcoe just past away (Sly) last week.I remember him saying that he didnt have to have insurance.
