Was out to fish on Saturday evening and headed to Shermans to what was happening. Started fishing at 1800 hrs and by 1830, had landed 6 fish, 4 walleyes and a pair of Sheepies - What a start.

Met and talked with John Uzick, his party had a fantastic trip.

Finished at 2015 with a final count of 5 walleyes and three Sheepies ( 9-8 & 6 lbs - boy do they pull hard on an ultra light)

Out again Sunday AM, got a couple of 14inchers just west of the SHermans Launch Site. travlled over to Shermans and counted over 20 boats all vying for a red marker with the hot spot. Headed toward Thompsons COve and saw the flotilla - 15 more boats, headed to Mallory Nay where there was only five boats. Very quiet at Mallory Bay, saw and heard of a couple fish landed.

Went back to Old CHurch area and landed another pair of 14 inchers. Headed for the city.

Back out to fish with my Dad at 1800 and we headed to weed bed, between Perfect Vue and the Launch site, a few boats there and we landed five walleyes, two over the slot size, two tiny ones and a 15 1/2" keeper. Thunder storm approaching, so headed abck and just landed when KABOOM - the storm hit.

Monday (the holiday - should be quiet  ) back to the weed bed with about ten boats trying for position. We landed four walleyes,MY dad got the first pair ( 19 1/2 and 6 lbs - See photo Below)

The bite turned off and we headed to the Old Church to get into the lee of the wind, I got a 1 1/2 lbs sm Bass on first pass, then an 8 lb SHeepy and the fun was on. We landed another 13 fish in the next couple of hours.

Daily count was 19 fish - 1 sm Bass, two Sheepies and 16 walleyes ( five in the slot and released) We keep some fish for the table too.

We had another fantastic day - my Dad is a good luck charm, we've really well this season(So far).

All the fish were taken on Uzick Spinners ( chartreuse and orange) what a killer bait.

Johnnie

Like the previous reply, it would be better to drive to Hay Bay north and launch at SHermans Launch Ramp.

Fishing from 10' to 16'
