All walleyes in 8-15 ft of weeds using cranks baits. More fish bites during the day vs. the night. We don't know why?

44 walleyes in 1 1/2 days 17''- 26"
36 in the slot
8 keepers 17"-18"
1- 21" tagged by MNR
3 large mouth bass 17"-18"
1 perch 12"

Lures - Jr. thundersticks color did not matter; rapalas tail dancer (perch) & rapalas suspended #10 (perch)

Fished @ Shermans Point & Mallory Bay stayed @ Merland Park Kevin & Jennifer were great! Tried Uzick spinners for awhile but the bigger waleyes were hitting the crank baits hard!!

We will be back up late in November.

Great Fishing!!

Nice job getting walleyes on cranks. August is usually a good month to catch them using crankbaits. We got 94 the week of the 4th., all on crankbaits along the edges of the weeds. Most fish were slot size. Got some nice largemouth and smallmouth bass from 16" - 18" on cranks, too. It's good to see someone else catching walleyes on something other than spinners.
