Just returned from 17 days up at Hay Bay. The fishing was AWESOME! Anytime we went out good action was had. Hot spots were Thompson's, Sherman's, Mallory Bay (so so, unless you were looking for monster perch). Almost all of the fish we caught were in 13-15 ft of water trolling Uzick's tipped with worm. In 17 days, we easily landed over 100 walleyes (12 to 24") with some monster sheepshead (2 to 12 lbers), pike (4 to 10 lbers), bass (lm & sm 1 to 4 lbs) thrown into the mix. Luckily we had a few fish frys in between so I could fish again!

The Perfect Vue tourney was a blast! Thanks to all who organized the event. Fatman, hope the shoulder's healing up good  Hope to see you on the long weekend. Nice to bump into some board reader's from out of town who recognized me....sorry didn't catch your names (red Starcraft with the 9.9 staying out on Big Island from PA). While we were chatting about Uzick spinner's that they'd picked up, the two guys had a double header :D What a lure! That must've been one hell of a long ride from Big Island with the 9.9, next year you should try Perfect Vue or Bayview Resort to be closer to the action.

Superdad, thanks for the refill of Uzicks and noticed your pics on Foolz

Anyways, tight lines til next time

Ken

From Pickeral Park you would head towards Ram Island (west), at the island you would be about a 1/3rd of the way to Thompson's or Sherman's Points. The points are essentially the entrance way to Hay Bay from Long Reach. When you get to Long reach you'll know as you have to turn right or left. Sherman's is on the right hand side and Thompson's is the exact opposite point, Mallory Bay is just around the corner from Thompson's. In my 16 1/2 ft. Lund with a 60 hp it's about a 10 or 15 minute boat ride so it would be 20 or so from Pic Park. I'm pretty sure Pickeral Park has a map in their store, if not ask any of the people they'll be able to help you out. Good luck.

we 3 people went to Perfect Vue for walleye fishing the last weekend, Saturday is excellent, we caught 13 walleyes, but all small size, we released most, we used the spinner bought in the store, Sunday is slow, we didn't catch any fish, it's our first time to fish walleye in quinte, you can image how happy we are, Joann and Larry are very nice, help us a lot, we are planning another trip to quinte in fall for troph walleye. who can tell me which month is the best for fall walleye fishing?

thank you again, nice guys!
