Just something to add here in case anybody was wondering.

Minn Kota's website states that a 50lb thrust motor can be used on a boat with a maximum length of 21' and or 2500 lbs of total weight. 2 pounds of thrust/100pounds of total weight of boat. These are recommendations only.
