Thinking of selling off the licensing rights to the following bait harvesting areas in Prince Edward County:
1. Ameliasburgh Township
2. Hillier Township
In Ontario, bait resources are assigned to harvesters through the use of a block system (typically 1 harvester/block but there are exceptions to some areas based on size of the block).
The commercial bait harvest license will allow the holder to harvest, and buy/sell baitfish or leeches for commercial purposes at a specified address.
Included with the license is a bunch of minnow traps and other harvesting equipment (e.g. dip nets, seine net, etc.), to get started. Will tally everything for serious buyers but it’s likely a lot to list in the post.
These things don’t come up too often, and we’re not in too much hurry to sell. Just looking to see if there is any interest as the current license holders have full time jobs and are unfortunately not able to get out and trap as much as we’d like.
