The best in spinning just got better with the new Stella FE. Shimano's aimed to make the most efficient Drivetrain in a spinning reel. They achieved their goal by using their new X-Ship feature. The result of using X-Ship makes the handle easier to turn with or without load. This makes the most important thing in fishing easier to feel the bite. Because less effort goes into turning the handle you can detect even the lightest "tick" bites.

The body is balanced from the tip of the spool to the rear of the reel. This balance, along with the lightweight magnesium frame, makes it much easier to fish all day long without fatigue.

All of the Stella FE handles screw directly into the drive gear, resulting in zero play between the handle and gear. The 1000 size handle is a very thin solid shank, while the larger sizes use a hollow handle shank, that reduces weight while maintaining extremely strong and durable properties.
