I’m looking for an 8” hand auger as I’d like to try an adapter for electric drill.
Thanks

I would recommend doing some research first before you make the purchase. I tried it a few years ago and it was garbage. I'm sure it was my drill/batteries that was the problem though. The batteries on the drill are the key factor. I believe Milwaukee has the best setup, but it is huge$$$$$$.

Good Luck!!!

I appreciate the advice Walleye 9. I believe you’re right about the drill. I purchased an 18V Milwaukee Fuel drill and impact driver a little over a year ago and that is what seems to be recommended. If I didn’t already have it I wouldn’t consider buying it just for this application the set was almost $600 tax in.
Thanks

I have a Milwaukee m18 4 amp. 8" auger drilled 35 holes all 10"-18" of ice and out of the two batteries still had half power in one at end of day my guess is would be able to do 45+ in a day. I have a slow heard if u keep the batteries in a little cooler base with couple hand warmers on the really cold days u will get more. Now as for going out just for the night bite 2-3 holes will be no prob lol.
And worse case scenario you would have the hand crank for back up.
