The first time i encountered this bird was at 35 yards which i thought was 50 til i paste if off fanned out gobbling his fool head looking but wouldn't commit to the decoys cause he was in a small dip and could not see them.Second time gobbled his head of from the roost to fly down then went the opposite way from me, third time was the same on the forth time i set up behind him but as soon as i called he did the same once more and sounded like he was heading to the field so i got out of the tent and ran 300 yards cut through the woods to get a head of him up to the field i edge looked the field over and nothing .All of a sudden i heard clucking coming from the trail i just came down there he was trailing me now. i slowly turned around and got the gun ready as he continued his sneak attack on me but i had news for him.35 yards away now and BOOOM this sneaky boy got a cedar swamp nap when i walked up to him there lay my wad on top of him i would say that was a tight pattern which ends my season can't wait til next year to come.He weigh 23 lbs 1 inch spurs with a 10 inch beard

Sounds like you had a fun and sneaky chase with that Tom, Shaun, Congradulations pal.

And a nice bird it is to finish with. Congrats on getting him. Sounds like he gave you quite a runaround for a while there.
