I think I have seen more deer around this summer than the last two combined. Still way down from 5-10 years ago, but it's encouraging.
I've been wondering if anyone else has been seeing more deer this year as well?

I have seen quite a few and lots of sign up at the camp! I think it will be a good year.

I saw plenty deer early summer but not so much in the last month or so. Saying that we were on a trip state side the past 5 days and the amount of big doe we saw from the border down to watertown was incredible. We crossed the border last sun. night at around 8 pm and the number was well into the teens. Thankfully none ventured onto the road as we were on the bike!! However a couple were hitch hiking.

On the way to the Kingston open last week on the 401(at 5 am) , I saw 2 nice does walking an open field and a big racked buck right behind them that looked like it still had velvet on his rack or he was just thick based !! . It was a nice sight to start the day !

Cheers , Ed

The bucks would still be in full vevet and still be growing for at least another month to month and a half. They are very elusive when in velvet and is quite a treat to see. They look huge in the latter stages of velvet. Saw a nice doe tonight with a fawn in a field not far from my house tonight!!
