Doe tags are out! Now I get to stare at it every time I go to the fridge to get a beer! Come on November!
We did really well this year with 5 so far, still waiting to hear back from another member of our group.

I'd be happy if our group gets one this year. We've had a total of 3 in the last 5 years. WMU 62 just doesn't have the tags like some other areas.

I have heard that about WMU 62. Are you guy's seeing any does? Something not right if you are. We had 4 tags last year and my son could have had us tagged out the first run of the day! If he had more bullets.....  Got 2 out of 6!

I struck out for wmu 62. Haven't heard how the rest of the gang made out. We always see lots of does, just don't get many tags. I think the management area is too big. Deer densities are much higher in the part of 62 below highway 7 than they are in the northern part. No matter, I'm looking for the buck that belongs to the shed I found this spring while turkey hunting. Always nice to have a few tags in the gang though so you can take a few for the freezer.

Again, our gang is shut out for area 62. See lots of does and fawns each year... but still no tag. We still get a few deer each year, but the odd doe tag would be nice.

I know what you mean about doe tags in 62, but this year we did better as of now 3 for 10 guys yet to hear from two of the fellows. We didn't shoot any does last year so hopefully things will be better in our immediate area.

Heard from the rest of the gang and we ended up drawing 3 doe tags for eight hunters in wmu 62. Better than we've done in the last few years. 1 of our gang has got a tag for the last three years in a row, while I haven't drawn one in five years. :?:

I'd like to see a system where if you don't draw a tag you go into a priority pool and have first crack at a tag the next year over the ones who got one the previous year. Seems unfair that some gangs/people go without a tag year after year, while some lucky buggers seem to get one every year. I know it would cost more to administer the system that way, but think most folks would pay a few dollars more for a licence if they knew the distribution of tags would be more even.

I was successful applying for tag in 61 after hunting in 60 for about 15 years, looking forward to haunt this fall back in '61
