Quinte Fishing

We saw some unusual tracks a few days ago after the morning hunt. They sort of looked like raccoon tracks only really spaced out. Seems like table scraps will attract all sorts of creatures.

Work keeps gettin in the way of my fishing

cool animal eh. i saw tracks of one right here in prince edward county down near green point just a couple weeks back..... no one is trapping anymore we are likly to see alot more and the years go on that goes for fox, coon, coyotes, sknunks and wont be too long you will be crawling with oopossumes cause no one is trapping in the states anymore . i have 300 traps just rusting away down in the states. what a shame to see all that furn go to waist because it becomes road kill

Something I don't see a lot of anymore like I did when I was a kid and liked to hunt for fun is groundhogs. We used to spend some good summer afternoons walking pastures, whistling and wacking a few of those like playing wackamole at the fair only with a 22 Mag. instaed of a club. Just like the cottontails, if you want to see them you got to drive into town and hunt them under someones garden shed. Must have a lot to do with the way farming has changed too, a lot of cash cropping vs small family beef and dairy farms and less hay and pasture fields.
