I wouldnt use anything being that old you have no idea what process they used to do the tanning........... its stiff from just sitting around, if you want it to come back you and gently pull and streatch the hide but why even risk it, just hang it on the wall or something thats what it was intended for......... as long as the hair is solid in the skin thats all that really matters when it comes to a hide........ you could do what they do in a tannery thats tumbel it in a dryer with a sneaker or something. NO HEAT. I STRESS NO HEAT!!!! .......... that will soften it up but like i said why do anything, just hang it and enjoy it! . you could risk hair slippage that would be a disaster giving the pelt bald spots!!!! .
