Quinte Fishing

Well since my fav spots on the bay are all froze up, I am thinking about trying out the trent river. All the public land I know of is in the lower sections of the river where it would be unsafe to discharge a shotgun. Anybody know of any safe spots to try out? you dont have to give away your secret spots, just anywhere where I can close out my season. Thanks!
