Hey all, I'm curious if anyone knows if there are any desent numbers of Black bear in or around the Quinte area....
I usually do a moose hunt every or every other year that is too far of a drive now with the price of gas so we're looking for any advise on where to find "non garbage" black bear within a days drive. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Not a whole lot, but I usually see 1-2 around the Frankford area each year. You don't have to go far north of Quinte though and you'll start to see a lot more sign to the north of Hiway 7.

I shot my first bear in stockdale (just north of Frankford) in 2008. Had more than one bear hitting bait.
