Well we hit the turkey woods today , and in the am no luck with only a distant gobble. And we had to be out of the woods by 7: 30 am to be ready for school. So as soon as the bus dropped off the kids after school we were off. And once set up , we had this guy working our way after about 30 minutes of calling or so. Ended up sending number 5's from he 20 gauge at 15 yards. A nice 2 year old with 9 1/4 beard and 3/4 inch spurs.

Very nice! What a great story for the kids to tell at school.

Is that a Mossberg? Really nice cammo pattern for turkey hunting.

Nicely done Catcher. Once again, great to see the little guys out with you. I'm looking forward to taking my little guys out this weekend as well.

Yes it is a Mossberg 20 gauge 500 Bantam youth model. I actually use it all the time , it is so light it only weighs 4.5 pounds and is real nice carrying in the woods. It also has a slug barrel with it and I use it as well in the shotgun hunt and would not hesitate 100 yards or more with it. It is a real flat shooting gun but the slugs do fly a little slower but accurate. I still have my cannon ( 12 gauge ) for the geese but I use this for everything else.
