Quinte Fishing

Hey guys,

I have a question regarding waterfowl hunting and discharging firearms on water.

Is there a certain distance you have to be from waterfront homes or cottages in order to hunt and fire shotguns? I know that for the most part, there is no title to land directly on the water for large lakes like Lake Ontario or Bay of Quinte, so setting up a blind on the water is likely not an issue...I don't think.

However, I am curious to know if you have to be a certain distance from roads or cottages/houses? Or does it vary by the township/municipality?
