I have been scouting all my regular fields this week and have not even seen a goose. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing many geese? I have 2 fields that held numbers over the last 8yrs and several others that could potentially hold birds but are empty. Usually I do pretty good on the opener but this year is looking like crap shoot.

I've found there's a lot of beans around this year and some of my favorite spots aren't looking as good either. The two wheat fields I was hoping for got plowed up already. I'm thinking my early opener might be spent on the water instead of the fields.

Look for silage fields now , most of the wheat fields have been cleaned out already by the geese.

Went scouting last night and got permission for 2 wheat fields about 200 geese are using and 3 big corn fields waiting to be cut that geese have used in the past. I picked up an extra box of Blindside to try out this year and can't wait to see if they work for me as well as they say they do.
Come on Sept 6th!

I've got silage fields off as well but nothing in the area. Over the years if I did not have geese in the fields I had enough flocks trading that I could always suck a few bunches in. But this year I do not even see birds trading. Hopefully the guys who have geese push them around so that friday and saturday I get some birds roaming for steel free feilds.
