And so it begins! I'll be in the middle of a swamp buried waist deep in mud. Have fun out there and safe shooting.

Look at the money you are saving by not going to a fancy salon for a mud bath .!!!! Good luck , and let us know how you make out.

Well I braved braved the rain and crawled around in the mud and came out with 4 male woody's and a goose. Could have got a few females, but had the chance to pick and choose in this pond. It turned into a great day day out after the rain quit. I walked up within 20 yards of a deer and found out porcupines can't climb beech trees. Silly thing climbed about 5' up the tree right beside me, silly me thought for a second about plucking a quill out of it's back. Looked at the tail and thought better of that idea. Anyway, it tried to climb a little higher, then thud... fell over backwards off the tree onto the ground, shook it's head then carried on to find something more suitable for climbing.

We towed the canoes out behind the boat to get tothe back of the big swamp last night with my friend and his 2 sons and we got 2 teal and woody. It was a great opening day adventure once again.

Sweet looking woodies
My 2 boys and I managed 10 geese, 5 teal and 3 mallards for the opener on Rondeau Bay
We have an over population of geese our way :D
Good luck for the rest of the season everyone and hunt safe
We are planning another icefishing trip this winter on Quinte and can't wait :D
