I went out this morning to see if the geese were coming to the fields and I managed to talk this one over close enough. I'm finding the 3" Blindside #2's are really working well for me this year. I had a few more larger flocks come take a look, but I guess I didn't have everything to their liking. I'm thinking I need about 100 more decoys as 15 only seems to be good for the singles and doubles. Seems like too much work though when you're by yourself.

I think I am going to try this one in the deep fryer just for something different to see how it turns out.

I went out this morning and got two more in the lovely rain. I was surprised when I had to break ice on the Trent canal to get there.

I think I will skip the fryer with these two though. It turned out ok, but still on the tough side. I ended up dicing it up and made a macaroni casserole out of the rest of it. Enough of the right spice and chopped up in smaller pieces and it turned out real good.

If anyone has a patte recipe they'd like to share, I'd like to try one of these like that.

I just got a field on Sunday with about 5000000 coming into it. :D

Not sure where you are, but the fields are around Stirling. I can't get out until the following weekend though. Let me know if that works for you and we can set-up either Sat or Sun.

Are you planning on hunting around Stirling tomorrow? I will be hunting to the south east of Stirling in the morning and if you are out it might keep the birds flying good for both of us!

We'll be north east of Stirling. Hopefully we'll keep them flying back and forth between us then. I was out for a scout tonight and there sure is a lot around. I drove by Oak Lake on the way up to check the fields I'll be hunting and it is just covered with them. There was about 200 in the field I'll be in tomorrow and I could hear them in all the other fields around as well.
