Being new to the sport of hunting, I'm finding it pretty difficult to find fields to hunt. Everywhere I've stopped people are saying that they already have guys hunting them. I would imagine the really good fields have locked up for years.

My buddy has been hunting for years, just not around these parts, so he doesn't have any fields either.

So I'm reaching out to the community, does anyone know of anyone that has room take on one more hunting party on their land? Anywhere from Belleville to Odessa and North say 30-45minuts. Haybay and all that area would great as well.

Thanks guys
Morton

None eh? As I suspected. :)

Looks like I'll have to keep pounding the pavement. :)

Sorry, I hunt further west of where you mentioned.

I'm sure you already know this, but I used to sit in my truck and wait for them to fly up from their daytime water roost and then follow them to the fields they were feeding in. From there, try to find out who owns the fields and then beg for their permission and hope someone hasn't beat you to it. Also scout potential corn fields that aren't cut yet and ask for those for hunting later on. Sometimes they don't cut corn until December and people will not ask permission ahead of time on those fields.

But yeah, like you said, pound the pavement.
