We are going moose hunting next week, I was asked the question by one of the fellows at our meeting this morning if I knew if anyone has used VHF radio's for communication while hunting?

I did not have a answer for him, does anyone know if they would work better than the normal portable radio's?

PROCEDURES....You may not use a Marine Radio to establish a land based station ( transmit )

Marinas and other shore based organizations having a legitimate reason to communicate with vessels may obtain a special station license authorizing them to use a specific channel.
