First off , congrats to all successful hunters so far this fall . Lots of geese and bears taken so far and a few close calls by hunters . I've been lucky to take a lot of geese in the early season and duck hunting is going well so far , matter of fact I have so woody ducks In the oven right now .. Mmmmmm.
I was recently in Whoyming on an Antelope hunt and was lucky enough to be successful , it was a tough hunt as you usually hunt water holes for pronghorns , but there was a lot of water everywhere from recent rains . Also the rut was in full swing and that made spot and stalk very hard as they were on the move the whole time. I was mainly hunting out of a blind ( 93 degrees out ) and using a decoy . And this poor love sick buck could not resist a closes look. He was not the biggest buck I saw but under the conditions we were presented with our guide was suggesting if you get a shot at a good buck do not pass. He came from about 300 yards straight in to my decoy I had out about 15 yards from my blind. And once he hit the 20 yard mark I sent a PX2 broadhead pushed by a custom Boostring off the the rail of my Excalibur Matrix 380 easily with my TriggerTech trigger. He went about 40 yards with a double lung shot . All in all it was a great trip with great friends. Hope everybody has great success with the remaining fall. I'm looking forward to seeing so deer pictures.
