I started seeing this turkey in a group with about 10 others through the winter. It was obvious from a distance he was a brown colour with white but couldn't tell if it was a Tom or hen. Last night he showed himself and thought he owned the road gobbling at every vehicle that passed him. I wish I had a better camera but did the best I could with the phone.

I'm not sure if this guy is a freak or if he is a cross breed with a domestic. Either way, he is definitely a unique looking Tom.

I see a full body mount in your future!! That would make a pretty cool looking mount for sure!!

He's still a jake and beat up really bad from the two big Toms in the area. I'm guessing because of his colouring. I can hunt fairly near by where I took the pictures but I wouldn't shoot him this year if he gets too close. I'm really hoping he gets a couple years under his feathers and becomes a nice Tom. And then yeah, he would make for a really cool full mount. Hopefully anyone else hunting close to his territory thinks the same.
