Well this morning was a quite morning no gobbling at all seen 1 hen at 7 am also heard 4 shots i thought to myself where are the birds i seen here man it started to disappoint me i did see 2 young bucks feeding behind me and called in a yote at 8 that was 10 yards away from me and knew something wasn't right so he buzzed off .I decided to get out of my tent and ease up to the field edge since i was about 40 yards back in the hardwoods i was almost ready to pull the pin at 8.35 but as i got to the edge i heard gobbling from a lone Tom 300 yards north of me i turned back round and headed to the blind and started calling. It seemed forever as he gobbled his way to me strutting in and out with a beautiful full fan such a great show these birds put on at this time of year so awesome to see .He took his time coming in to give me a nice 35 yard shot i wouldn't miss this for a moment i love it! So i pack up all my gear and headed to the truck to hear another Tom gobbling 50 yards in front of me but didn't see me til the last second and ran and flew off i know where i and going for my 2nd bird ! This Tom was 20 lbs 1 inch spurs and nice 8 inch paint brush.

That is super! Thanks for sharing. Great bird. I didn't hear a thing until about 830 as well. Heard some gobbles for about an hour and then complete silence. More to follow I hope.

Sweet, Nice Bird. My season starts tomorrow morning and I'm hoping if nothing else to hear some gobbling. That sure gets the adrenalin going.
Congrats again!

Congrats on the bird, I made it out a few times so far and not even hearing any gobbles or sightings. The farmer plowed up all the fields on opening day so my hunt there might be over as the turkey don't seem to like the plowed fields.

Good Luck to everyone
